About Us
Engineers Without Borders - USA is a national non-profit 501(c) tax-exempt volunteer organization whose vision is a world in which every community has the capacity to sustainably meet their basic human needs. The North Texas Professional chapter of EWB-USA was established in January 2005 and is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropex. The chapter actively works to further the EWB-USA mission by providing engineering expertise for community-driven development programs while simultaneously fostering education of its members. Typical projects address challenges faced by developing communities including water supply and distribution, sanitation, transportation and infrastructure. EWB-NTX collaborates with local partners and the community during all stages of the project – assessment, analysis, design, implementation and monitoring - and maintains a commitment to the community for a minimum of five years, providing continuing guidance, education and training to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the project.
EWB-NTX is looking for people with various backgrounds and skills, including but not limited to food/general science, fundraising, legal, web design and public relations, to join our efforts in ensuring the prosperity and well-being of developing communities worldwide.
